Plots for the 2020 season are currently FULL.

There are only 15 spaces open for the 2020 season and they are expected to fill up fast. Only (1) 4×8 plot per person. If additional plots are open, this will be reviewed. The plot charge is $50 with a $20 refundable deposit. Recipients of plots will be notified 24 hours after the application process begins. Plot owners must review sign and review rules and submit payment within 48 hours of securing a plot. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the year if requirements are met. OSU Class Schedule: MGV Sustain ED Schedule (1)

Objective: To create an inviting space where individuals, families, and groups may grow produce for themselves and for community food banks or programs as well as providing educational classes and volunteer opportunities. “Planting” for our future to raise awareness on sustainability & healthy living through home gardening.

Goals:

• To increase education on sustainable urban farming
• To promote community through purposeful gardening
• To nurture curiosity and provide hands-on education through workshops, field trips, and youth programs.
• To promote health and well being through encouraging consumption of organic, garden-grown products.
• To increase the number of home gardens through educational programs
• To provide a beautiful oasis for local birds, bees and insects.

About the Garden: 

This 5,000 sq ft. inclosed garden features 15 garden beds available to the community, 8 sponsored beds, a beehive, composting station, kids corner and more. Starting in January of 2020, the application process will begin.
